Open Borders: Looming Civil Conflict in Texas (and Elsewhere)?
Bidenista policy has precipitated a catastrophic situation on the Texas-Mexico border. Texas authorities have taken matters into their own hands.
“A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.” —Ronald Reagan
Illegal Immigration: The Ongoing Bidenista Disaster.
Among the worst and most dangerous consequences of the leftist/globalist return to power in America back in January 2021 was the reopening of America’s southern border. Illegal immigration had come under control during the Trump years, with or without the promised wall Mexico was to pay for.
But by May of that year, a fresh crisis had blown up. By the end of 2022, Democrats had established “sanctuary cities,” crime and homelessness were rampant, fentanyl overdoses were a daily occurrence, and the situation was worsening to the point of intolerability. The number of people who have crossed America’s southern border illegally is now between 9 and 10 million! (The number that crossed in December alone: over 300,000!)
Since Democrats want these people to be able to settle and then vote, and for their children to vote, and since most will vote for Democrats, it is difficult to believe Bidenista open borders policies aren’t part of a plan not just to ensure permanent control of the country by the Democrat Party but to dilute and dissolve the America of yesterday which was too white, too Christian, and … well … too American. This has been demonized as the Great Replacement Theory.
Conservative (calmly): “Isn’t allowing all these people into this country, released into American cities anywhere — we don’t know who most of them are or where they come from — isn’t this just a little bit dangerous even if they vote for Democrats?”
Liberal/progressive (apoplectic, spit-spraying): “Shut up, you racist white supremacist conspiracy theorist!!”
These days, whenever I see that kind of response, I know I’m onto something!
The problem, as this implies, isn’t Mexico or Mexicans. Peoples from dozens of nations are crossing the Rio Grande in record numbers. While some are Hispanic and coming from dysfunctional nations beyond Mexico, most sincerely wanting better lives for themselves and their families, others are designated OTM (Other Than Mexican) and could be from anywhere, including Middle Eastern nations hostile to Americans (think: Iran, supporting Hezbollah!)
The Bidenistas bumbling and stumbling their way into a war with Iran is becoming increasingly likely! How many OTMs are aligned with Hezbollah, locating sleeper cells near American shopping malls, and awaiting marching orders?!
It is clear, moreover, that much of the fentanyl taking Americans’ lives in record numbers has been brought in by illegal aliens, who have also brought other crime and overwhelmed institutions such as hospitals and schools.
The State of Texas Takes Charge.
In the face of Bidenista band-aid solutions, Texans have had to take matters into their own hands. The State of Texas approved installing miles of razor wire barriers along the border, especially in popular crossings such as among other devices designed to discourage illegal crossings by making them more difficult and hazardous.
The Bidenistas and their fellow travelers cried foul. The former filed suit against Texas and Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
Last week a sharply divided Supreme Court sided with the Bidenistas in a 5–4 decision and ordered Texas to allow U.S. Border Patrol agents to remove the razor wire.
As of this writing, Governor Abbott has not only refused to comply but has taken his case nor just to his countrymen but the world.
Posted to X (formerly Twitter), Abbott wrote:
The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States. The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional to enforce federal laws protecting states, including immigration laws on the books right now. President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them. The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration….
Under President Biden’s lawless immigration policies, more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed our southern border in just 3 years. That is more than the population of 33 different States in this country. This illegal refusal to protect the States has inflicted unprecedented harm on the People all across the United States.
Gov. Abbott went on to cite the Constitutional specifics, in Article IV, sec. 4, and the qualifier “unless actually invaded” in Article I, sec. 10, Clause 3. The latter thus:
…acknowledges “the States’ sovereign interest in protecting their borders.”
He concludes:
The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article I, sec. 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article 1, sec. 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary. The Texas National Guard, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and other Texas personnel, are acting on that authority, as well as state law, to secure the Texas border.
As of this writing, 25 Republican governors have signed a pledge of support for Abbott in his mounting conflict with the Bidenistas. Some have sent representatives or members of their own National Guard as part of their support. The situation threatens to escalate and lead to a physical standoff between federal officials and those of Texas and possibly other states. An alliance of “red states” is forming and standing not just so much against “blue states” but against the leftist/globalist controlled Asylum on the Potomac.
Donald Trump has supported Gov. Abbott’s position, stating that if he were in the White House, he would “send reinforcements” to Texas. He’s been accused of obstructing a “bipartisan deal” on immigration because he doesn’t want Biden to have a “win.” The problem: many of us are unprepared to support a “deal” that doesn’t issue a moratorium on the kind of mass influx into the country we’re seeing now, making exceptions for those coming into the U.S. with work contracts, and spouses of U.S. citizens who happen to be foreign nationals.
It should be clear that had Trump been allowed to remain in office, none of this would have happened!
According to corporate media and constitutional scholars, the federal government is supposed to be in charge of immigration and border policy. We’ve seen that this is qualified, though. What are states to do when faced with an administration such as the present one, already of dubious legitimacy, which refuses to enforce laws on the books, and the result is masses of peoples pouring across the border at a level no federal or state agencies are able to accommodate?
Gov. Abbott has answered that question. You erect barriers. As of this writing, he’s not allowed federal officials to remove any razor wire. The U.S. Border Patrol hasn’t seemed especially eager to press the issue. U.S. Border Patrol agents and the State of Texas are fundamentally on the same side, after all. Both have as their key official duty the protection of the U.S. border.
Meanwhile, the governor has pledged to put up more wire.
Invasion? — Or No?
Is his calling the 6 million people that have crossed the southern border illegally since the Bidenistas assumed office an invasion a stretch? Some scholars have said so, invoking none other than James Madison who denied that people entering the U.S. illegally constituted an invasion.
But if I may cite the liberal playbook and hold liberals/progressives to their own book of rules, times have changed! No one in Madison’s day had to worry about millions of people crossing into the U.S., millions more on the way, almost none of them from Europe or other familiar territories, and with expectations of assimilation now dead following over three decades of relentless multiculturalism.
Moreover, if leftists and liberals can describe the 2,000 or so people who entered the Capitol unarmed on January 6, 2021 (a small handful of them violent) as an “insurrection,” then surely a state governor can deem 6 million foreigners crossing his state border, most of them of unknown origin and motivation, an “invasion”! What’s good for the goose, and all that!
A standoff is thus developing between Republicans and Democrats in Texas itself. Two Democrats, former Representative Beto O’Rourke and present Representative Joaquin Castro, have called on “Joe Biden” to federalize the Texas National Guard if Abbott continues to defy what they take as a direct order from the Supreme Court. What would Abbott do in response to that? He’s called this “boneheaded,” and it is; it runs the risk that the Texas Guard will simply refuse orders from the Asylum on the Potomac. The Bidenistas, already perceived on the world state as a bunch of pathetic weaklings, instantly lose still more credibility. Besides, Gov. Abbott will have the resources of other state National Guards and other Texas agencies including thousands of law enforcement personnel. He can command organizations that cannot be federalized.
The Take Our Border Back Convoy.
In addition, a grassroots Take Our Border Back Convoy has assembled peacefully and is on its way to Texas as I write. Truckers, and others from an America that works for its living — and who have come to seem like a reliable gauge of what democracy really looks like — have already left Virginia Beach, Va. (near the site where Jamestown Colony was originally formed), headed south where they will pick up Highway 10, go west to Texas, converging on the hot spots on February 3: Eagle Pass, a popular crossing zone for illegals not too far from San Antonio; Yuma, Ariz.; and San Ysidro, Calif.
The Convoy’s flagship statement is available as a PDF:
We are calling on all Americans to join us in a peaceful assembly. We are acting on our First Amendment rights …
… We are first recognizing our rights to peaceable assembly. Second, we are exercising our rights to freedom of speech that shall not be abridged. Third, the American people are making their voices heard by participating in the convoy as a petition to the federal government for redress of our grievances. Last, we are exercising our rights to God. We are calling on all Americans to pray and join the convoy peaceably.
The statement contains a strong condemnation of violence. A separate safety statement focuses on driving, weapons, trash disposal, respecting law enforcement officers who will be accompanying the convoy all the way.
All these come down to three words: obey the law!
Given the fate of the Trucker Convoy in Canada in early 2022, which Justin Trudeau’s soft dictatorship broke up using physical force, and where at least four men are still imprisoned and bank accounts frozen, participants in this new venture absolutely must keep their noses clean!
And I’d add, for the right reasons: doing so is morally, constitutionally, morally, and theologically right. Not because of what those in power might do.
They need, also, to be wary of infiltrators of various stripes. It wouldn’t be the first time!
Those in power are increasingly apt to do what they believe can get away with. I can envision the Bidenistas ordering Homeland Security based troops to Texas. This would play directly into the hands of those they demonize as “extremists” who speak darkly of the federal tyranny.
Those with real power are watching events unfold very closely; of this I think we can be certain.
Final Thoughts — Or Warnings — We’re Dealing With Psychopaths!
Were I one of the insiders within the Establishment — part of the WEF crowd or atop an American-based global corporation looking to benefit from cheap labor or in one of the two dominant party Establishments — or anywhere in the EU Establishment — I’d be very worried right about now!
Because even post-covid, which showed us what those with real power are capable of, we are seeing mass protests against destructive policies in The Netherlands, Germany, France, elsewhere. We recalled the Canadian truckers’ convoy against the “vaccine” mandates in Canada, the Trudeau regime’s violent response, and the ensuing fallout. It is probable that Justin Trudeau’s days in power are numbered.
An antiglobalist free-marketer has just been elected president in Argentina.
Other things being equal (a very big if, I know), Donald Trump has a chance of being re-elected President of the United States this November!
Counter-elites, Peter Turchin calls them, clearly aren’t going anywhere! Nor is their grassroots support, in nations all over the world.
There are times when I think globalism is actually on the run! Millions of people have figured out at least some of what is going on! They aren’t buying all the Establishment media propaganda about “misinformation” and now “malinformation” (truthful information that inspires others to question authorities and official narratives).
Millions will be watching as events begin to come to a head in the U.S.
We have to realize, however, that we are going up against psychopaths. As I have noted before, the need to control entire populations by dominating their economies and political systems is not normal! Abnormal, psychologically damaged people are capable of being very dangerous when they are confronted. It seems very likely that in 2019, they released a gain-of-function enhanced coronavirus. If the purpose of the plan-demic was to consolidate global power over scared, obedient masses, it clearly didn’t work. Too many people are still demanding their right to live as they see fit if they aren’t bothering anyone else, and not be dictated to or manipulated by forces from outside their communities, political or economic (elite-controlled corporations interested only in profit).
So, what’s next? If the psychopaths have billions of dollars at their disposal and can command people who have fingers on nuke buttons, or are able to release new lab-enhanced viruses into populations, there is no telling what they might do to stay in power! This is what gives me sleepless nights!
